Cell: 347.682.6895 Mark Lopez became of counsel at LCN in 2007 after spending more than 22 years as a staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union. He has an active civil rights practice, and has brought federal cases in jurisdictions all across the country. In recent years, his emphasis has been on cases involving First Amendment issues, including several campaign finance cases decided by the United States Supreme Court. His work has also included a number of groundbreaking public forum cases involving the sale or lease of public venues to private parties as a means to restrict access by labor organizations or protesters. Mr. Lopez is a national expert on election law and the public forum doctrine. Prior to joining LCN, Mr. Lopez was a Senior Staff Attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union (1996-2007). He also worked at the National Prison Project of the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation (1987-1996) and the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois. |
